Fair Go counts in eggs and Weet-Bix, not grams. It answers “can I have a beer?” with arithmetic. And it plans one dinner that works for the vegan, the meat-eater and the three-year-old at the same table.
How it works
Say what you had. That’s the whole job.
“I had two eggs, two slices of toast and some butter.” Fair Go reads it against the Australian Food Composition Database, shows you each item to check, and logs the lot in one go.
Two eggs, not 100 grams
Nobody knows what 100 g of Weet-Bix looks like. Fair Go counts the things people count — eggs, Weet-Bix, slices, rashers, bananas — and keeps the grams underneath where they belong.
An answer, not a lecture
“Can I have a schooner?” gets a yes, a tight, or a not tonight, worked out from what’s actually left. It’s arithmetic, and the app shows you the sum.

From the Lock Screen, the Action button or a Shortcut — and it works with no signal at all. The widget’s ring moves before you’ve put the phone down.
Share a recipe straight in
Send it from Instagram, Safari or Photos and Fair Go pulls out the ingredients, the method and the timers. Paste one in and it does the same.
Exercise doesn’t add back
A walk doesn’t buy you a muffin. Your active energy sits beside the number, never inside it — because the add-back is how tracking apps talk people into eating more than they meant to.
A household, not one plate
Most tracking apps model one person. Most kitchens don’t.
Matt eats meat. Lulu is vegan. A three-year-old eats something else again. Cook one recipe and Fair Go scales the shared ingredients by who’s eating, swaps the protein per plate, and tells you the point in the method where the plates go their own way — so the tofu goes on while the chicken’s still in the pan.
- Each person has a diet and a portion of an adult plate.
- Kids’ plates carry no numbers, anywhere.
- Your shopping list comes out of the week with portions and swaps already applied.
- Energy is only ever counted for the person tracking, for their own plate.

Train
Built for a bench and a couple of dumbbells.
Fair Go is for the dad who is not going to make it to a gym three times a week. So it ships office workouts: twenty-five minutes, a bench, some dumbbells, and nothing to book.
A plan, a library, a history
Put a workout on a day and it repeats. Build your own, paste one in from anywhere, or start with Fair Go’s. Every set you tick off is kept: bench press, 26 January, 3 × 10 at 10 kg.
It suggests the next small step
Got every rep last time? It’ll put up the next weight. Didn’t? Same again, and no fuss about it.
On the wrist and the Lock Screen
Run the session from an Apple Watch with real heart rate, or from the phone with the set and the rest timer on the Lock Screen. Either way it lands in the same history.
Your data
No ads, no data broker, no one selling your weight.
Fair Go doesn’t advertise, doesn’t track you around the internet, and doesn’t sell or share your health data with anybody. Your account lives on servers in Sydney.
- Progress photos never leave your phone. They sit behind Face ID and go nowhere else.
- Export everything, whenever. Three files: the lot as JSON, your meals as a spreadsheet, your training as another.
- Delete your account from inside the app. Two taps, no email, no support ticket.
Claude & ChatGPT
Ask your own assistant about your own day.
Fair Go has its own connector, so Claude or ChatGPT can read your day, log what you’ve eaten against the real food database and look over your training — on your subscription, with a key of its own that you can cut off from the app at any moment. It never gets your Fair Go sign-in.
